The West’s Awake
Last Sunday while most of us were enjoying our St Patrick’s Day festivities Croke Park was buzzing with the AIB All Ireland club championship finals and what games they were. St Brigid’s from Roscommon took the honours with an injury time point from veteran Frankie Dolan to the delight of a massive crowd of supporters while earlier St. Thomas’ from Galway took home the Hurling cup after a thrilling game when they defeated Kilcormac from Offaly. A great day for Connaught and looking forward to the Connaught championship when Roscommon get all the St Brigid’s players back on the squad they will be the team to beat. Well done to all.
