30 Leitrim clubs seek funding

Following the deadline for applications of Sport Capital Funding on June 1 it has been announced there were 30 applications for funding from Co Leitrim with various clubs and sporting organisations seeking funding totalling €2,376,418.

Following the deadline for applications of Sport Capital Funding on June 1 it has been announced there were 30 applications for funding from Co Leitrim with various clubs and sporting organisations seeking funding totalling €2,376,418.

The total cost of the projects for which funding is sought is €2,706,512 and it is expected that successful applicants will be informed in late autumn or early winter.

Elsewhere 61 applications were made in Cavan with groups seeking funding totalling €5,780,865 with the various projects costing €7,066,779; in Longford 30 applications were made seeking €1,873,684 with the projects totalling €2,386,295; In Roscommon there were 48 applications seeking €4,381,562 with the projects set to cost €5,120,443; In Sligo there were 47 applications seeking funding of €4,028,594 with the projects set to cost €5,141,862.
