Inaugural Tony McGowan 10K Road Race
The above takes place on Sunday, 17th February at 12noon.Register online at: wwwrunireland.com or on the day in the Mayflower between 10.30am and 11.30am.

Well done Eamonn
Congratulations to local footballing legend Eamonn McGowan who was honoured at last week’s GAA County Board Dinner when he was inducted into the Leitrim Football Hall of Fame. Well deserved and overdue acknowledgement of Eamonn’s lifelong commitment to the GAA both at local, County and national Level.
Senior Citizens
Senior Citizens will meet on this afternoon (Wednesday) at 2pm in Áras Phádraig for the weekly chat and a cuppa. New members always welcome.

Allen Gaels 25 Card Drive
The popular Allen Gaels 25 card drive continues every Sunday evening in the Clubhouse at 8.30pm. Everybody welcome. Refreshments served.
Handball training
Handball training in Mayflower Community Centre every Friday from 6.30pm to 7.30pm. All welcome.
Fashion Show
On Thursday, 21st February there will be a Fashion Show in aid of the Irish Pilgrimage Trust in the Bush Hotel, Carrick-on-Shannon at 8pm.
All proceeds will go towards bringing young people with special needs to Lourdes at Easter.
A number of shops and boutiques will be displaying their Spring/Summer ranges including Mary McGee’s, Boyle, Menarys, Quiz, Wallis, The Magnet, Alice Ann Bridal, Trailblazers, Style Emporium, Sligo and EJ’s Menswear, Sligo.

Poor Clares on retreat
The Poor Clare Sisters, Drumshanbo will be on retreat from Friday, February 15th until Monday, February 25th (inclusive).
The Convent will be closed during the retreat. The Chapel will be open as usual. Mass will be at 8am on weekdays and 9am on Sundays.
Gun Club Game Night
Drumshanbo Gun Club will hold their annual game night on Sunday the 10th of February at 6pm in the Millrace, Drumshanbo. All welcome.
