Fashion Show
On Thursday, 21st February there will be a Fashion Show in aid of the Irish Pilgrimage Trust in the Bush Hotel, Carrick-on-Shannon at 8pm. All proceeds will go towards bringing young people with special needs to Lourdes at Easter. A number of shops and boutiques will be displaying their Spring/Summer ranges including Mary McGee’s, Boyle, Menarys, Quiz, Wallis, The Magnet, Alice Ann Bridal, Trailblazers, Style Emporium, Sligo and EJ’s Menswear, Sligo.

Charity Concert
Keep Sunday, February 24th free in your diary. Eleanor Shanley and Charlie McGettigan will appear in concert in St. Joseph’s Resource Centre, Leitrim Village. Proceeds in aid of the Alzheimer’s Unit, St. Patrick’s Hospital, Carrick-on-Shannon.

Recent Bereavement
The community would like to express its deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Cyril Mulvey, Kiltoghert who passed away last week. The Funeral Mass took place on Saturday in St. Mary’s Church. The large number of people in attendance are testament to the high regard in which he was held in the community.
Cyril is survived by his wife Marian, daughter Paula, sons Adrian, Anthony and Alan, son-in-law Brendan, Anthony’s fiancée Cheryl, brothers Micheal, Brian and Joe, sisters Bridie, Rosemary, Kay and Peggy, grandchildren and extended family. May he Rest in Peace.
