Drumkeerin Drama Group presents “Say Cheese”

Drumkeerin Drama Group is back on stage this coming weekend Friday April 19th, Saturday April 20th and Sunday April 21st with their annual production in Drumkeerin Community Centre. This year they perform Bernard Farrell’s great comedy drama, “Say Cheese”. There is an excellent story-line with plently of twists and surprises which greatly add to the drama, suspense and comedy. Performances commence at 8:45pm each night and on time so come early and do not miss a beat. Doors open at 8pm.

The Ceremony of Light in preparation for Confirmation takes place in Keadue Church on Wednesday April 24th at 8pm. Confessions will take place after the Ceremony of Light. Confirmation takes place on Wednesday May 8th at 3pm in Keadue.

First Holy Communion takes place on Saturday May 11th in Arigna at 12 noon.

Kilronan Community Games

Athletic: The community games take place on Sunday April 21st next at 3pm in Kilronan Park, Ballyfarnon. Entry forms available at schools and also on the day. All welcome. Volunteers needed.

Bonus Ball Bash

St. Ronan’s Lotto

There was no winner of the Lotto jackpot when the draw was held last weekend. The numbers drawn were 10, 11, 13, 15. Consolation prizes were won by the following €70 Jimmy Gray. Keadue, €30 Eamon Keaveney, Ballyfarnon, €15 each Claire Conlon, Geevagh, Gay Sheeran, Ballfarnon, Thomas McKenna, Carton. The jackpot this week will be €7,200 and the draw will be held in Shivnan’s Bar, Ballyfarnon.

St. Ronan’s GAA Club

Meeting in Killronan’s Ballyfarnon at 9pm on Wed April 18th. Tickets for the Dinner Dance in Kilronan Castle on May 5th will be on sale after the meeting for E35 each. Tickets also on sale from 9pm on April 13th and 20th in Shivnan’s and April 19th in Flynn’s. The following officials also have tickets available: Keadue Sean Martin, Arigna Jim Gaffney and Kieran Guihen, Ballyfarnon John O’Connor and Seamus Sheerin. Frankie and Garvan Dolan are our special guests fon May 5th and the Andy Merrigan Cup will be on display. The dinner dance is a ticket only event. Please pay for your tickets as you receive them to avoid confusion.

Strabraggan N.S. Cake Sale

Thanks to all who supported the Cake Sale Fundraiser for Strabraggan National School on Easter Sunday. It was a great success and raised E615 towards activities for the pupils.

Valley Rovers FC

U12 Boys have reached the semi-final in Group A of the Sligo/Leitrim League. This game will be played at Valley Rovers’s honme ground in Park Ailbhe, Geevagh this Thursday, April 18th at 6.30pm. Valley Rovers’s F.C would like to invite you all to come along to cheer on the boys as they attempt to reach the final for a second year in a row.

Kilronan Community Playschool

8K walk on Sunday, April 28th. Registration in Ballyfarnon Community Centre at 1.30pm. The route is via Kilronan Castle Estate and is partly on the main road and partly in woodland. Refreshments served back in the community centre following the walk. €5 per person. Families €10. Please come along and support this event.
