Mass on Saturday at 4.00 pm which is offered as a Month’s Mind Mass for Geraldine Mimna, late of Toome and Carrigallen. Vigil Mass for Good Shepherd Sunday on Saturday at 8.00 pm. Servers are Group 4 with Ann Edwards in charge. Sunday is also World Day of Prayer for Vocations. Eucharistic Adoration each Tuesday evening at 7.00 pm followed by Prayer Service with Communion at 8.00 pm. This year’s Mass of First Eucharist is scheduled for Saturday 25th May at 12 noon.

Pilgrimage to Fatima 2013

The annual pilgrimage to Fatima takes place from the 1st August to the 8th August. 7 nights full board ensuite in the Tres Pastorinhos Hotel which is situated beside the sanctuary. Cost €739. McCartin SD Class Championships

Easter Saturday was a day of great excitement in Drumreilly when the annual McCartin SD Class Championship Feis was held in the Community Centre. Adjudicators for the day were Ms Marian Kiernan ADCRN, Co. Longford and Ms Laura Waldron ODCRN and Ms Michelle Waldron ODCRN, Mayo.

The McCartin SD pupils competed across various grades from beginner to advanced, and after eight hours of dancing the following pupils featured amongst the winners.

Under 6 yrs: Sarah Gray, Sarah Greene, Aoife Browne, Caoimhe Casey, Kayla Gill, Thiana Regan, Rebecca Maguire, Jane Prior, Rebecca Maguire, James Stringer.

Mission Aid

Mass on Saturday last in St. Mary’s Church, Drumlea was celebrated by Holy Ghost Missionary Fr. Daithí Kennelly. Limerick-born Fr. Kennelly had come to address the congregation and ask them for their help in the work (Evangelisation, Pastoral Work, Education, Health Care etc.) of the Holy Ghost (Spiritan) Missions in various countries.

Be a Thousandaire

Drumreilly G.A.A. Club is making an all-out effort to defray the costs of completion of the fine new dressing-rooms, meeting-room and boundary fence in Carrickmakeegan. You can assist by selling and purchasing the “Who wants to be a thousandaire” tickets in circulation. Information and tickets are available from the Committee.

The Drumreilly team was S. Masterson, J. Maguire, G. Donohoe, D. Donegan, P. Holahan, A. Holahan, P. Mimna, P. Donohoe, P. Connolly, P. McGirl (0-1), I. Hewson (1-4), T. Connolly (2-3), M.
