Drumshanbo Area Community Games

Well done to all the boys who took part in the Connacht finals held in Carrick-on-Shannon on Saturday, 5th April. Our team was made up of boys from Ballinaglera, Drumshanbo and Kiltubrid areas. Team members included Ronan Moran, Iarlaith O’Brien, Shane McKeon, Rory O’Donnell, Mark Reynolds, Jake Tobin, Liam McGourty and Enda Lowe. They did their coaches proud and unfortunately lost out on a penalty shoot out and depriving them from getting through to the final. Special thanks to their coaches for bringing them to this stage and to the hard working organisers on the day.

There are over 32 kids from the area going to the swimming county final in the Aura in Carrick-on-Shannon on Sunday, 21 April. Booking in from 6.20pm and competition starts at 7pm. Entry fee is €4 per child.

Our athletic event is happening in Kiltubrid pitch on Friday, 26th April at 6 o’clock. Events include both track and field from under 8, 10, 12, 14 and 16. Special race for the toddler and under 6 year olds. Further information will be given out in the local schools closer to the date.
