Tea party

Rooskey Church renovation committee will hold a tea party in aid of the renovation fund on Friday, 26th of April in the community centre, Rooskey. Music by Eamon Kelly. Tickets €10 from any committee member or on the door. Hostesses needed. Meeting for helpers and hostesses in the old school on Thursday night, 18th of April at 8pm.

Well done to all the children who represented Kilglass in the following sections, solo singing, Freda Beirne, silver medal, recitation Cormac Hoare, silver medal, solo dance modern, Ciara Rogers, silver medal, solo music Niamh Doorley, silver medal, group singing, Rebecca Rogers, Mikaela McHugh, Freda Beirne, Genevieve Cox, Ciara Rogers and Ciara Compton, mentor Niamh Kiernan, silver medal. Group dance, Clodagh Owens, Aoife Frayne, Eimear Deehan, Jack Doorley, Owen Doorley and Oisin Duffy, mentor Laura Duffy, gold medals representing Roscommon at nationals in May. Well done to all.

Happy Days pre-school

Happy Days pre-school, Clonfad, Rooskey. Enrolments are currently being taken for children eligible for the free pre school year beginning September 2013. There are also a number of places available from September 2013 for children aged 2 and a half upwards. The pre school is HSE notified and is registered with DCYA for the free pre school year. Shave or Dye

Shave or Dye for Irish Cancer Society in CJ’s pub, Rooskey, 19th of April at 8.30pm. If you want to monk or punk contact Colm Cox at CJ’s or Patrick Tighe at 087 7958143. Raffle and spot prizes on the night.

Bornacoola fashion show

Preparations are in place for the Fashion Extravaganza of the year at Lough Rynn Castle on Friday, 19th April at 8pm. Bornacoola GAA Club members are getting ready to strut their stuff all for a good cause. This event is the start of an ambitious fundraising plan of action that the club are undertaking. Fashions will be supplied by Bonnie B, Kabuki, Kenny’s of Longford, Image, Jack & Jones Athlone Town Centre, Wallis, Alice - Anne, Bridal, Shoes by Prima Donna, Accessories by Luna, and stunning headpieces by Jennifer Wrynne Creations. Models will be our own home grown talent! Many of the faces will be familiar, but be prepared for a few surprises! Music on the night with Tom Moran. Wine & Cheese reception and raffle.
