Crisis has brought team closer
The eligibility crisis which threatened to rule 12 players out of London’s panel for next Sunday’s game in Ruislip has managed to bring then London squad closer together according to Exiles forward Eoin O’Neill.
O’Neill, one of the 12 as he opted to play with home club Renvyle last Summer, said “It has brought us closer together though, and I think that’s helped us an awful lot. We feel like Croke Park didn’t really care about us over here.
“We were chatting to each to other on the phone; no one really knew what was happening. It was all up in a heap. Thankfully the situation has been resolved and we can now look forward to June 3.
“For a few days we were all sweating about what was happening. In fairness to management, they didn’t bring us into any of that at all. We just kept putting our heads down and training hard, doing the right things.”
