Former St Mary's and Leitrim player Johnny Goldrick is presented with his New York Senior Championship medal by New York GAA Board President Liam Birmingham.

The Leitrim Football Club of New York held their annual dinner dance in Rory Dolan’s on February 11.

There was a huge turnout for the victory dance, as the guest of honor was John Creegan Rossan, Aughavas. The hardworking John is a successful businessman, and has always been eager to give back to the community, supporting many worthy causes throughout the years.

John is a tremendous supporter of the Leitrim Football Club, the Leitrim Society, the Joe McInerney Charity Golf outing, as well as his own annual golf outing for SIDS and the Lupus Foundation. One of John’s proudest moments was to watch his son Mike win his first senior medal in 2010, and again in 2011.

John is married to Philomena Barrett from Co. Mayo and they are the proud parents of four sons John Patrick, Michael, Brendan, and Danny. They reside in Dumont, New Jersey. John has certainly been a great ambassador for Leitrim in his adopted country.

The Joe McInerney Award was presented this year to Joe Prunty, a native of Drumlish, Co. Longford. Joe was presented with the noted award in recognition of his outstanding service to the Leitrim Football Club in New York.
