Minis

Sportsground, Galway - November 3. As we have not met the full quota of under -11 players for playing at half time of the Connaught v Treviso game, please can any parent of under-10s interested in their child attending email minicrfc@hotmail.com with the chance to be selected to play. Please see www.carrickrugby.ie for relevant forms for parents & players attending this event.

Creggs RFC - November 10 - A date for your diary - We are provisionally booked for an away Blitz in Creggs, Galway on November 10.  More details to follow. (This fixture was not included in a schedule sent out last week).

Subs/Registrations - We have 90% of registrations collected and a big thank you to everybody for being super efficient!! As mentioned previously, we will not be able to allow any child train or play in November unless they are registered.  Any new players will have to register prior to training and will be allowed a refund after two weeks if rugby doesn’t suit them.

We are also collecting November subs now.  Subs are €10 per month per child. Please put in an envelope with your child’s name clearly marked on the front of it. Alternatively, €50 subs can be paid in advance for the entire season.

Carrick on Shannon Off-Pitch Apparel - Carrick Rugby Club’s own labelled kit is now available to order at Elverys.  Please see website for details of how to order.

Training - Training for ‘rugger heads’ is on every Saturday, hail, rain or snow and even frost!! However, if the roads are too icy to drive in then it is too icy to play in!!  Even with some frost, rugby training will generally go ahead, unless we are advised otherwise after a pitch inspection the evening beforehand (for health & safety of all players).

So, ultimately, it is up to the parents to decide, that if you feel it is unsafe to travel on a VERY frosty morning, don’t travel.  If you are travelling, please can you make sure your child has plenty of layers of clothes and if possible a spare change of clothes.

Ladies Team - The next Ladies match in the Connacht Development League will be a home game against NUIG on Sat 3rd November in Leitrim Community pitch time to be confirmed. All support welcome.

New members are always welcome with no previous experience necessary. Ladies’ Training takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays 7:30pm at Castlecara Rd Training ground, Carrick-on-Shannon. Further info can be found on the club on our website www.carrickrugby.ie or www.facebook.com/carrick.o.rfc.
