An exhibition of innovative work by 14 Leitrim based creative businesses is running in the Leitrim Design House.
This exhibition was developed as a result of a Business Development Programme facilitated by retail & marketing consultant Eddie Shanahan and is a reflection of the creative talents based here in Leitrim. The show will run until Saturday, July 12.
The craft businesses exhibiting are Fine Artists Helen Chantrell & Marie Lafferty, Irish Fine Art Miniatures by Paula Fitzpatrick. Textile businesses Sile G by Sheila Gormley, Marbel & Arnt by Fiona McCarthy & Smelly Sheep Designs by Vanessa Salvador, photography by Gearoid Lynch & Jo Gray, Silversmithing by Fiona Mulholland Jewellery Multiples & Jean Whitfield Jewellery, Ceramics by Alan McCluney of Leitrim Pottery & Caroline Rock Art, Roy Humphreys Woodturner and soapmaker Majella McAuley of The Soapbox.
Each Saturday during the exhibition from 2pm-4pm there will be craft demonstrations with the exhibitors. Fiona Mullholland will be offering a bespoke jewellery service on July 5th & Sheila Gormley will be demonstrating her crochet craft on July 12th.
This exhibition runs as part of the various summer activities being hosted by The Leitrim Design House who recently received funding from IPB Insurance to run a series of craft workshops which are taking place each Wednesday morning throughout the summer.
