‘Port Authority’ to have its day in The Dock

Decadent Theatre present ‘Port Authority’ By Conor McPherson at The Dock, Carrick on Shannon on Wednesday November 7.

Conor McPherson is regarded as one of Ireland’s leading dramatists. His plays have become Major international successes winning Olivier and Tony awards. Previous plays include, ‘The Weir’, ‘The Seafarer’ and Shining City as well as the groundbreaking Irish Film ‘I Went Down’

His excellent play Port Authority comes to Carrick this November and promises to continue the rich seam of excellent theatre that has been on offer in The Dock during 2012. In Port Authority we meet Kevin, Dermot and Joe, three generations of Irishmen. Set against the backdrop of contemporary Dublin, each man’s story is a beautifully woven tale of failure, loss and the elusiveness of love.

The production stars Garrett Keogh, Phelim Drew, and Carl Kennedy The production is directed by Andrew Flynn. Tickets are priced at €16/€14 and are available from the box office on 071 96 50828 or at www.thedock.ie. The show begins at 8.30pm with theatre bar open from 7.45pm for pre-show drinks.
