The organisers have just confirmed Irish singer/songwriter MUNDY for their Sunday night line up. MUNDY, who has just released his fourth album (which features Shane McGowan and Gemma Hayes), is a favourite at festivals all over Ireland. He also recorded and toured with Sharon Shannon's Big Band. Mundy came as a late addition, after Ramblin' Jack Elliott had to cancel his European trip due to serious health issues.

Also new to the lineup are Tupelo - a five piece Dublin based outfit who play a mix of bluegrass & folk and W Banjo 3, a group featuring four banjo players (Enda Scahill, Leon Hunt, and All-Ireland winning brothers Martin and David Howley).

Just two weeks away, the Longford is gearing up for the arrival of thoursands of visitors and hundreds of musicians from the USA, UK, Europe and further afield who will bring music to every corner of the town. The lineup this year includes those listed above, as well as American singer/songwriter STEVE EARLE, top American bluegrass band BLUE HIGHWAY, The Carter Brothers, Leroy Troy, Gerry 'banjo' O'Connor, Lunasa, Banjaxed, Eleanor Shanley, Ross Nickerson, Niall Toner Band, Rough Deal String Band and many more.
