After a sellout show on January 21 and a glowing Sunday Independent review of the performance in The Dock, 'The Tinkers Curse' is back by popular demand next Tuesday, February 9 at the much earlier time of 11.30am, to accommodate daytime group bookings.
Written and performed by award winning actor, playwright and Irish Times Columnist Michael Harding, this performance at The Dock will also be followed by a post show talk with the author.

Nominated for Best New Play in the Irish Theatre Awards, 'T
he Tinkers Curse' is a deeply moving and dramatic story about a travelling man who climbs Croagh Patrick to do penance for the sins of a lifetime. It is a play of laughter and joy, brimming with fun and rich imaginative language, as Mikey reveals the sequence of tragic events that lead to his own ultimate destruction. Accompanied by musician Finbar Coady this gives a glimpse of the joys and sorrows that make up the life of an Irish Traveller

Michael Harding was awarded Best Actor at Dublin Theatre Fringe Festival (2003) and nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the British Management Awards in London.

The Post Show Talk will give people an opportunity to ask questions, express opinions and discuss both the theatre piece and the wider subject of nomadic life, Irish Travellers and the settled community. It will prove to be a fascinating, entertaining and educational early afternoon in the theatre.

So if you missed this first time around, make sure you book early for this performance on February 9 from 11.30am - 1pm. Admission is p16 and p14 concession and tickets can be booked on (071) 9650828 or by calling into The Dock.
