Carrick-on-Shannon played host to the official launch of the 2026 SuperValu TidyTowns Competition on Monday morning, as Minister for Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht, Dara Calleary TD, joined local volunteers, community groups and organisations at the Riverfront Amenity Park.
Fresh from their national win last year, the town is now aiming to retain the title, with a strong turnout highlighting the community spirit behind Carrick’s success.
