GALLERY: Aughawillan celebrate regaining Fenagh Cup

2016 Connacht Gold Leitrim Senior Football Championship Final picture special

Aughawillan regained the Fenagh Cup after they just got the better of Glencar/Manorhamilton last Sunday, October 9, after a titanic battle in the 2016 Connacht Gold Leitrim Senior Football Championship Final.

Captain Colin Maguire lifted the Cup for Aughawillan who prevailed with an injury time fifty from Mark Plunkett, giving them victory on a 1-10 to 0-12 scoreline.

Man of the Match honours also went to Aughawillan with 18-year-old Pearse Dolan collecting the award to go with his second Leitrim Senior Championship medal.

It was a long and extremely busy day for Leitrim Observer photographer Willie Donnellan and we hope you enjoy some of the images he captured from Aughawillan's big day.
