Ghlac dhá fhoireann ó Choláiste na Mainistreach páirt i gcomórtas díospóireachta Gael Linn ar an Luan. Bhí an chéad bhabhta ar siúl i bPobalscoil Ros Comáin. Bhí caighdeán an- ard ann. Rinne gach dalta a seacht ndicheall leis na hóráidí agus táimid an-bhrodúil astu.
Faraor ní bheidh an fhoireann shóisearach Caoimhe Ní Bhrogáin, Finn Ó Dochartaigh, Niamh Nic Fhlannchadha agus taighdeoir Dillion Mac Seáin ag dul ar aghaidh go dtí an dara babhta.
Comhghairdeas mór leis an bhfoireann shinsearach Gemma Ní Bhraonáin, Adam Ó Fiaich agus Aisling Ní Dhonnchadha agus lena múinteoir Iníon Ní Chonraoi. Beidh siad ag dul ar aghaidh go dtí an dara babhta go luath. Guímis gach rath orthu!

Boyle Féile Under 13s
On Sunday last Boyle beat Roscommon Gaels in the U13 Féile Final. Boyle got off to a flying start with Niall O Donnell scoring 2-3 in the first two minutes. Soon after Conor Kelly blasted in the third goal of the match. Five minutes later Gavin O’Connor carried the ball into the box and fist passed it over to Luke McGrath, who slotted it into the bottom corner. At half time the score was 5-8 to 1-2 in favour of Boyle. In the second half Roscommon Gaels played well nut the Boyle defence was too hard to break down. Boyle were comfortable winners with the score of 6-10 to 2-7. They have now qualified to take part in the Féile competition in the Summer. Well done to the Abbey Community College players David Flanagan (captain), Niall O’Donnell, Gavin O’Connor, Seán Garvin (goalkeeper), Luke McGrath, David Duggan, Edan Kearns, Daniel Casey, Andrew McGee, Oliver Regan, Colin Sheedy, Greg Nutley, Ben Hayden and David Beirne.
Transition year Christmas market
This week the Boyle transition year group are busy partaking in the Christmas markets. Lots of preparation is going into the event to help with their transition year funding.
The students will be making/ building/ drawing/ creating different artworks and baking pastries to sell at the Christmas market. Some of the items that the students are making include Christmas centre pieces, Christmas cards, and other festive goods.
The students are working hard collecting all the resources they will need to make their products. The strategy the Transition year group have put in place are the 3RS reduce, reuse and recycle.
The final produce will be sold on the 2nd of December at the local Boyle Christmas Market in King House. All funds raised will be contributed to the Transition Year fund.
We hope to have a large turnout at the markets so all are welcome to come on the 2nd of December to the Christmas markets at King House. Thanks for your support.
