Carrick Rowing Club had another very successful day last Sunday at the Carlow RC Regatta with four wins.
The Leitrim based club saw Kate Lowe win the Junior 14 Scull to get a long day off to a successful start and it was followed by a win in the Junior 15 Sculls for Patrycja Kaminska.
The Ladies Junior 14 Quads had a very impressive win over Coleraine Grammar School and the day was completed when the Carrick B crew won the Ladies Junior 14 Quads with the Carrick A crew rowing very well.
Aoife Lowe and Roisin Bohan also turned in very good performances in the Junior 15 Sculls while the Junior Coxed Quad team had a close race with Commercial. Also rowing in their first regatta was the men's Junior 14 4x+ crew and they had another close race with Offaly.
Trials for Thomas
Former Carrick RC member Thomas Earley has been selected for trials for the Irish U23 Heavyweight team at the National Rowing Centre in Cork on June 9/10. Now rowing for UCD, Thomas is one of 13 rowers selected for the trials for the World Championships in Poznan in Poland in July.
