'It is pure genius' - Fans react to Celebrity Big Brother as it returns to Irish TV

Celebrity Big Brother made its much-anticipated return to Irish television last night and fans had a lot to say on social media.

Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh were the first to enter the house and they were tasked with a secret mission, like the old days the pair were tasked with judging the other celebrities as they entered the house.

The pair had to choose three celebrities to make vulnerable and choose one of the three for the public vote which is set to take place at the end of the week.

The pair chose TV personality David Potts, presenter Zeze Millz and Gary Goldsmith, uncle to  Princess of Wales Catherine Middleton.

Fans have reacted to the dynamic duo back in action.

One user took to X to say: "Clearly they ran out of budget after booking Sharon and Louis."

Another user said: "Putting Sharon Osbourne & Louis Walsh in the celebrity big brother house at the same time is pure genius."

Catch episodes of the brand-new series of ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ tonight at 9pm on Virgin Media Two and Virgin Media Player and continue watching the series each night at 9pm from Sunday to Friday.
