Irish sporting legends to guest on this week's Late Late Show as line-up revealed

World champion boxer and Irish sporting icon Katie Taylor will be in studio this week to reflect on her extraordinary career inside the ring. She will discuss the longevity of her time at the very top of the sport, her legacy in getting women’s boxing added to the Olympic Games in 2012 and how she balances the demands of boxing with life beyond it. Katie will chat to Patrick about family life in America and what the future holds.  

Renowned Irish jockey Rachael Blackmore will launch the 2025 RTÉ Toy Show Appeal on Friday's show. She will highlight the Jack de Bromhead Equine Centre, a project close to her heart that is supported by the Appeal.  Rachael will be joined in studio by Croía Shine, a service user of the Equine Centre, and her mother Cara who will share the profound impact the centre has had on their lives.

Dancing with the Stars judge Arthur Gourounlianwaltzes onto the Late Late Show set! Arthur will chat to Patrick about life at home with husband Brian and daughters Blake and Blu and how they inspired his new children's book. He will also talk about how the death of his father led to his unwavering work ethic and positive outlook on life.   

Actress, podcaster and activist Jameela Jamilwill sit down with Patrick to talk about her outspoken advocacy on mental health, body image and representation. Jameela will chat about her new Netflix Christmas movie, A Merry Little Ex-Mas, her recent roles in The Good Place and SheHulk and reveal what’s next for her as she continues to challenge stereotypes and champion change both on and off screen.

Comedian Shane Todd will also be on the show this Friday night. He’ll chat about sharing the stage with some of the biggest names in international comedy, talk about embarking on his very first all-Ireland tour and explain how in another world he could have been Patrick Kielty!  

Music from Irish pop and rock band Something Happens as they celebrate 35 years since the release of their iconic album Stuck Together with God’s Glue.  

This and lots more tomorrow night on The Late Late Show at 9.35pm on RTÉ One.
