Carrick-on-shannon hosts the Hunters Moon Festival over this Halloween bank holiday weekend.
The alternative festival is three days long, starting this Friday, October 26.
The event was created to provide a space for musicians, artists, film makers and lover of off-kilter culture to meet up and enjoy a mix of the psychedelic, experimental and droney of the Northwest. There is plenty of music on offer over the town as well as visuals arts and the Hunters Moon Art Trail.
This year’s musical performances will include Phrupa (Russia), Ludo Mich (Belgium), Matthew Bower (UK), Tsembla (Finland), Jennifer Walshe (Eire) and other interesting acts from Ireland and abroad.
The festival will also include interactive workshops and talk by some of the performers as well as film screenings and a Q&A with internationally recognized film maker Vivienne Dick.
Weekend tickets are €55, day tickets €28 and evening tickets €15. There are also free events available.
