The annual Michael Coleman Traditional festival will commence on Wednesday, August 21 at 9pm with official opening by Macra na Feirme President Kieran O’Dowd followed by traditional music concert.
Thursday night, August 22 is a very special night organised in conjunction with the gathering and will celebrate the best of Irish musical culture and tradition at 9pm. Overseas musicians and visitors will be in attendance and it promises to be a nostalgic journey down memory lane.
On Friday night, August 23 we have a ceili with the Long Note Ceili Band 9pm.
On Saturday night, August 24 at 9pm we have a performance by Tim Lyons, Philip Doddy, Sean and Irene Maloney and Caroline Locke.
And on Sunday, August 25 the festival concludes with an open air session held in Mount Irwin at the Coleman Cottages commencing at 3pm.
And you can attend the last of the summer sessions in Ceolaras Coleman Music centre every Wednesday and Saturday night for the remainder of August starting at 9pm.
The sessions consist of a blend of traditional music, dance, song and stories on the night performed by inhouse musicians Ceoltoiri Coleman.
The sessions provide the ideal opportunity for you to bring visitors along to sample the finest in Irish culture.
