Longford Summer Festival returns on July 3-5 with three great nights of top class live entertainment.
The big gigs take place in a special 1700 capacity marquee in the old Connolly army barracks in the heart of the town. The festivities get underway on Friday, July 3, when The High Kings take to the stage. The venue opens at 8pm nightly and runs until 2am with top support acts and disco nightly. There is also a full bar and extensive food options on site.
The big act on Saturday, July 4, will need no introduction as it’s the famous Nathan Carter, probably the biggest draw on the Irish festival scene at the moment. His version of “Wagon Wheel” launched him to stardom and will be amongst many of the well known songs to have the 1700 crowd rocking on the Saturday night.
Sunday night offers something special with a unique concert featuring Sharon Shannon, Frances Black and Mary Coughlan. Three of Ireland’s most celebrated female performers, they are coming together for an evening to remember at the Longford venue. All three collaborated on the history-making Woman’s Heart project and each is a prolific award-winning artist in her own right.
Tickets for all three shows are now on sale at the Spirit store in Longford town and cost €20 each. For full details visit longfordsummerfestival.com
