A fundraising function for the James Gill Cancer Treatment will be held in Duignan’s Bar, Drumsna on Easter Sunday night, March 31.
The Leitrim Observer reported on James Gill’s story recently, the twenty year old has “one last chance left” at survival. He has been told there is “nothing more” that can be done in Ireland to save him, the only opportunity remaining involves an €80,000 clinical trial treatment in America. James, the son of Drumsna’s Declan Gill and grandson of PJ and Mary Gill of Coolcreeve, Drumsna, has been “to hell and back” for the past two years, after he was diagnosed with a rare form of liver cancer called fibrolamellar hepatocellular carcinoma.
The family have raised up on €30,000 through fundraising and really need the support of the community to help reach the €80,000 target.
Music on the night will be provided by Country One, admission is optional.
