This August Bank Holiday Weekend Leitrim based The Ronan Gallagher Band play in Planxty Maguire’s Mohill on Saturday 2nd, and at The Leitrim Marina Hotel on Sunday 3rd August.
Formed in late 2013 the band’s motto, ‘Love Live Music’ epitomizes their attitude to their all original live performance of their songs.
Songs like ‘Won’t Do That’ or ‘Long Gone’ written in Gallagher’s local train station, Dromod after a chance encounter with an angry young man emigrating to Australia.
High octane at times, other times soul searching and heartfelt, their songs are always delivered with energy, passion, and above all, a great sense of fun.
They do come with a slight health warning though, as they have been known to cause outbreaks of uncontrollable dancing and joy.
Ronan Gallagher’s songs are often stories about love and loss, happiness and pain, the bright and dark sides of everyday life.
Whatever way one wishes to describe him, one thing is true, his lyrics come from the heart and his music from the soul.
The Ronan Gallagher Band consists of Ronan Gallagher on lead vocals/guitar, Henry Egan on Violin, Finn O Connor on Guitar, Julian Stroud on Bass, and David Gaffey on drums.
The group will also be playing the Ballinamore Fringe Festival on August 23 as well as a host of other venues over the Summer.
