The Three Amigos featuring well known country stars Jimmy Buckley, Robert Mizzell and Patrick Feeney have been bowled over with the reaction to their Eurovision announcement on the Miriam Show last Saturday night!

The boys revealed to the top TV host that they would love to represent Ireland in Sweden next spring, ”To represent your country is a great honour and I just hope that we are given the opportunity” said Jimmy Buckley.

The Three Amigos are the biggest live act in Ireland at presen, their shows continue to sell out nationwide and their most recent album Radio Pictures topped the country charts for nearly 10 weeks!

Robert Mizzell said that the contacts with songwriters are already underway. “We just can`t believe the reaction to date. Some of Irelands best known songwriters have made contact with us and all of them are convinced that they have the right song for us!”

Patrick Feeney confirmed on the Miriam Show that country music is popular with all age groups but the Sligo man also stated that The Amigos will sing what they regard as the most suitable song for them. “In our live show we will feature all genres, rock, pop or jazz and big band and of course country, so our chosen song will not necessarily be a country song “

The Amigos are now inviting interested songwriters to make contact. The three big singers will perform live in concert for one night only at the Hotel Kilmore, Cavan on August 30. Tickets on sale at Hotel Kilmore Reception.
