It’s that time of year again. The Marquee in Drumlish Festival is back for 2014 with a host of musical talent and entertainment.
Kicking off the festivities on Friday August 15 are Hermitage Green. This group have been selling out shows throughout Ireland, the UK and Australia with their unique style.
Following this, DJ Fergal D’arcy of iRadio fame will bring his energetic set to the Marquee. Saturday starts off at 1pm with a family fun day in Monaduff Park which includes bouncing castles, pet farm, carnival games and Ireland’s largest inflatable climbing wall. This will be an entertaining day for young and old alike.
The fun moves back to the marquee that night with Ireland’s newest up and coming country act, Johnny Brady taking to the stage. Johnny is followed by the sensation that is Nathan Carter who visits Drumlish for a second year. This is a night not to be missed.
Eyes down and pens at the ready for the Monster Bingo in the 98 Memorial Hall, Ballinamuck on Sunday 17th at 3pm with prize money of €2,500 and a monster raffle on offer.
A host of musical talent graces the stage on Sunday night starting with local lads Poroma who are going from strength to strength.
Then it’s Dublin’s finest Damien Dempsey who will bring his wholly distinctive voice to the marquee. Offaly’s very own Mundy who no doubt will please the crowd especially with ‘The Galway Girl’.
Festival favourites and local band The Aftermath will bring their quirky and exciting music blend to the Marquee. This night is shaping up as one to remember.
Running a fourth night this year the Monday night will feature Declan Nerney who is celebrating 25 years in the industry. An array or Ireland’s country artists will be joining Declan on the night including Margo, Jimmy Buckley, Lisa McHugh, Michael English, Mick Flavin and Gerry Guthrie.
