The Real McCoy, the smash-hit three act comedy by Tommy Marren, will be staged by the Aughawillan Drama Troupe from Thursday, February 13 to Sunday, February 16 in the local Community Centre, with an 8.30pm start nightly.
The annual production by this very popular amateur drama troupe is eagerly awaited at this time of year by drama lovers from Leitrim, Cavan, Fermanagh, Longford and beyond with audiences always ensured of a warm welcome, a comfortable, warm and cosy auditorium and a production that they will thoroughly enjoy.
The group has built up a reputation of specialising in comedy and has presented many top-class shows over the years.
Tommy Marren, the well- known broadcaster, actor, producer and playwright has come up with a gem of a piece with his new play, The Real McCoy, which he and his players have staged all over Ireland and overseas to critical acclaim.
It will be a big challenge for the Aughawillan Drama Troupe to try to emulate the success of the original cast, but we can be certain that no effort will be spared by anyone involved in this progressive group to present a top-class production that will satisfy what are expected to be full houses on each of the four nights.
