The biggest beach party of the year is happening a few miles up the road in Bundoran this weekend.

Sea Sessions is kicking off this Summer for its eight year on Friday 19 June and running until Sunday 21 June. The headline acts include Sea Sick Steve, example & DJ Wire, Maverick Sabre, Sigme, le Galaxie, Jape, Blakc Grape, the Riptide Movement, The minutes and much more.

There’s also loads of other activities including Surf Competitions, a Skate Rampo with pro skaters, The Beach Olympics, Beach Soccer, Tag Rugby, Beach Volleyball, Ultimate Frisbee, Bodyboard & Retro and the usual fun to be had in the holiday town of Bundoran.

The Sea Sessions Expression Surf Competition is run over the 3 day period of the festival when ever conditions are optimal. The competition is kept as an invitational event with the top 10 surfers from around Europe invited to enter and flown in to participate.

The event is a core focus of the festival and has become part of the European surfing calendar boasting the highest calibre of surfers of any event in Ireland or the UK. The Sea Sessions campsite and campervan parking facilities are located in the West end of the town at the local GAA pitch.

This will be the only official Sea Sessions campsite, so don’t be fooled by cheap imitations, particularly if you have already bought a camping ticket in advance.

The Sea Sessions campsite will accommodate all campers and campervans. While there will be capacity to cater for festival goers to purchase camping tickets on the day it is strongly recommended that you book in advance. If you are coming from the Sligo direction its the turn on the right after the row of Victorian Terraced houses called Bay View Terrace. If you are coming from the Ballyshannon direction its the second left after the Bridge Bar.

Tickets are still available from Ticketmaster and €99.50 for 3 days non-stop partying. Add €25 for 4 nights camping. There’s also limited day tickets available from €45.50.
