Leitrim County Council will be carrying out line marking at Calloughs.

Cllr Paddy O'Rourke asked Leitrim council to have the marking of the traffic island at the junction (known as the finger board at Calloughs) reinstated as it is very "ineffective in its current state and is very important in the management of traffic on what is a very busy junction."

Cllr O'Rourke also asked if there was "anyway we could pull it back up the road a little bit because the bungalow overlooking that crossroad used to be a holiday home but now there are permanent residents there because they are in danger from traffic coming from Carrigallen, indicating to turn right, people presume you are going onto the Ballyconnell Road, and they need that minute because there can be oncoming traffic."
