Aghoo Bridge
Cllr Ita Reynolds Flynn asked Leitrim County Council to extend the footpath on the road from Tully, Ballinamore to Aghoo
Bridge.
She is one of several councillors who have been asked about the works.
The response said that the council have requested funding from the NTA under the Active Travel Investment Program for a footpath to link Ballinamore town to Aghoo Bridge previously but were advised that they would only provide funding within the urban speed limits, at which time the footpath link to Tully Height's was completed.

The response concluded: "Unfortunately Leitrim County Council have no other funding streams to extend the footpath beyond the urban speed limits at this time. There is a recreational footpath linking Aghoo Bridge to Ballinamore town along the Waterways Ireland canal."
Cllr Roisin Kenny supported the motion saying that "to have good access to the swimming pool would be beneficial to the whole community".
Cllr Gary Prior also supported the motion.
Cllr Brendan Barry added: "Residents out there asked numerous times for funding the wastewater to be extended out to that area and it would be great to that work done before a path is put in to not rip up the good work done on the path."
