Disruption of water supply is being experienced in a number of areas in Leitrim due to "significant bursts" as Uisce Éireann works throughout the day to carry out repairs.
Uisce Éireann confirmed that its crews are working to repair significant bursts that happened overnight on a trunk water main between Keshkerrigan and Ballinamore.
Some customers in Fenagh, Ballinamore and Keshkerrigan and surrounding areas may be experiencing disruption to their water supply as a result of the bursts.
"Repairs are due to be completed by 6pm this evening (Sunday)," a spokesperson confirmed.
"Typically, it takes two to three hours following repairs for normal supply to restore to all customers affected by an unplanned outage. However, it may take longer for normal supply to be restored to customers on higher ground or at the end of the network," they added.
