The bank has approved more than €1.2 billion in mortgage finance since last October and has now introduced a new €2 billion fund for first-time buyers and movers due to customer demand.
“We are seeing strong evidence that residential property prices are continuing to stabilise, and positive signs of improving confidence, as more of our customers want to buy a home,” says Ita Gray, Branch Manager in Bank of Ireland, Carrick-on-Shannon.
