THE QUINN Group are projecting to create a further 1800 jobs locally over the next three years if their proposal for Quinn Insurance is accepted by the Government and administrators.

In an urgent and packed out meeting in Ballinamore on Monday night, Kevin Lunney , Director in the Quinn Group outlined the “Quinn proposal” for the re financing of Quinn Insurance and their plan to not only secure the 6,000 Quinn Group jobs in the country but also their projections to create almost 2,000 more jobs, most of them locally based over the next three years. A number of projects are ready to be implemented shortly but are being held back because of insecurity in the group.

The meeting was held to rally public support behind the “revised” Quinn/ state bid for Quinn Insurance and to really push home the importance of the Quinn Group in Cavan, Leitrim, Fermanagh and the entire North West. Business people, Quinn workers, politicians and concerned local people packed the function room in The Commercial Hotel, Ballinamore Monday night. The facts and figures revealed in the presentation by Kevin Lunney, left no one in the room in any doubt of the need of the Quinn Group to keep the local rural community alive.
