Oasis School of music open for business in Carrick

The Oasis School of Music which has been operating successfully in the Sligo area for 10 years and is now open for Business in Carrick on Shannon.

Oasis Carrick on Shannon opened in July 2011 in their state of the art fully furbished Music School on the Elphin road in Carrick (opposite train station).

Over the years Oasis Music has taught over 2500 people to play a musical instrument. Many ex students have gone on to make a career in the music business and a number of ex students have obtained a degree in music.

Oasis music has currently over 60 students enrolled and has seven music teachers at present.

Most instruments are catered for and include the following:

Piano, Keyboards, Synth, Voice Training, Violin, Viola, Tuba, Trumpet, Cornet, Trombone, French Horn, Saxophone, Lead Guitar, Bass Guitar, Spanish Guitar, Whistle, Harmonica, Piano Accordion, Drums, Mandolin, Banjo, Music Theory and PA Training.

Tuition is one to one and costs €100 for six lessons. Tuition is offered to both children and adults.

The option to take examinations is there with Royal Irish Academy, however the vast majority of pupils are learning to play a musical instrument for their own pleasure. Intermediate and Advanced tuition is also offered with a number of folk taking lessons with the view to playing in local pubs.

Why not join us in our fully equipped Music school. You are never to old or to young. (our youngest pupil is 5 and oldest over 70). Many people have always wanted to play a musical instrument and now have fulfilled their dreams

Most people who take a 6 week course usually come back for more such as been their enjoyment and many pupils have been with Oasis for years

Open Day

Oasis will hold an open day at their Music School on Saturday 22nd Sept from 6pm until 9pm

People are invited to view the range of instruments for sale including the wide range of pianos.
