Water outages have been reported across Carrick-on-Shannon this morning, as dozens of homes were left woke up to no running water.
Outages were also reported in the surrounding areas of the town, where planned repair works are set to take place.
As part of the National Leakage Reduction Programme, mains repair works may is expected to cause supply disruptions to St George's Terrace, Townparks, Carrick-On-Shannon and surrounding areas in Co. Leitrim.
Works are scheduled to take place from 9:30am until 1:30pm on 22 August, but unexpected localised outages have been taking place since this morning.
It is recommended that households allow 3-4 hours after the estimated restoration time for the supply to fully return.
Carrick residents wishing to check for updates on the pkanned work can do so by putting the reference number LEI00081784 into the search bar on the Uisce Eireann website.
