The late Cllr Des Guckian
As a mark of respect to the late Cllr Des Guckian, it was decided that Leitrim's County Council's AGM and the Carrick-on-Shannon municipal meeting would be adjourned until next week.
Speaking at the meeting, chairperson Cllr Sean McGowan proposed that both meetings would be adjourned and was seconded by Cllr Enda Stenson with all members in agreement. "We agreed to adjourn the meetings as a mark of respect to our former colleague who had passed away since our last meeting. I want to offer our sympathies to his daughter Irene, who has joined us and to the rest of the family."
