The fourth series of Moving West is now in production, with Mary Kennedy once again fronting the popular TG4 series that tells the stories of people who have made the decision to relocate to the West of Ireland. Filming is taking place across the western region including Leitrim, capturing the landscapes, communities and human journeys that make this part of the country so unique. From families leaving behind city life to entrepreneurs carving out new businesses in rural towns, the series continues to shine a light on the opportunities, challenges, and rewards of starting afresh in the West.

“This series has always been about more than relocation,” says Producer and Director Enda Grace. “It’s about identity, community, and the courage to try something different. The West of Ireland offers an incredible quality of life, and through these stories we want to show how people are not just moving west, they are moving forward.” With the support of the Western Development Commission, the new series also brings in international voices, highlighting how the region is attracting people from abroad as well as from Ireland’s cities. “What excites me about this season,” Grace adds, “is the variety of stories. From families building a new life to creative individuals and entrepreneurs finding the space to grow. Each journey is personal, but collectively they paint a powerful picture of the West as a place where you can truly thrive.”
