A decision is expected soon on a proposed housing development in Carrick-on-Shannon.
The proposed development would comprise a number of houses and apartment-type units.
The planning application, submitted on June 3 of this year, seeks permission to demolish an existing dwelling and outbuilding at Lisnagat 6–7, Townparks, Carrick-on-Shannon, to make way for the new housing development.
The applicant, Moda Construction Ltd, proposes to construct two two-storey residential buildings containing two one-bedroom apartments each, providing a total of four one-bedroom apartments along Lisnagat Road.

In addition, the developer intends to build a two-storey terrace comprising a total of four two-bedroom terraced houses.
The application also includes proposals for a new site entrance, car parking, landscaping, connections to all public services, and all associated ancillary works.
A decision from Leitrim County Council on the proposed development is expected to be issued on Thursday, October 23.
