Leitrim County Council will recycle your Christmas tree this January

Residents can recycle their Christmas trees at the Mohill Civic Amenity Site and the Manorhamilton Civic Amenity Site and both sites will accept trees on Fridays and Saturdays during January, including Friday January 2, 9 and 16 and Saturday 3, and 17.

With Christmas trees due to be taken down on January 6, people Leitrim have the option of recycling their tree, courtesy of Leitrim County Council, throughout January.

Residents can recycle their Christmas trees at the Mohill Civic Amenity Site and the Manorhamilton Civic Amenity Site and both sites will accept trees on Fridays and Saturdays during January, including Friday January 2, 9 and 16 and Saturday 3, and 17.

Trees can also be disposed off on Saturday 10 at the Manorhamilton site.

People are urged not to leave trees outside the gates when the centre is closed.

Residents are also asked to remove all decorations, lights and other materials from the tree ahead of recycling.
