A YouTube video of Carrick was shot during the carnival.
A Welcoming Entrance to Carrick-on-Shannon
Carrick-on-Shannon Chamber of Commerce has engaged the services of a notable landscape architect Gwen Tierney to look at how we can improve the visual landscape on the main entry roads to the town.
Ms Tierney has a wealth of expertise in the landscaping of public spaces. We look forward to her proposals for Carrick-on-Shannon.
Carrick-on-Shannon Town Brochure
The tourism committee is preparing to publish a Carrick-on-Shannon town brochure This brochure is a guide for visitors and will list and advertise all of the activity providers in the tourism sector in Carrick-on-Shannon.
The aim is that visitors will be firstly enticed to Carrick-on- Shannon and secondly visit more than one of our many great activities.
It will be made available online and in hard copy at each of the hotels, accommodation providers, restaurants and visitor sites in the town. What a great idea.
Many thanks to the tourism committee and especially to Seamus Gibbons and Brian Whelan who are working hard compiling what will be a very professional and attractive brochure. Last entries to this brochure are now being taken.
If you want to be included please email the chamber office at firstname.lastname@example.org or call to the Chamber Office by the Quay.
Carrick on YOUTUBE
You might have noticed a cameraman taking footage around the town during Carnival week. He got lots of great video and will be editing this over the coming days.
The town looked great and we are thankful to the very hard working festival committee for providing a great schedule of events.
