Leitrim Village will be out in force on Thursday, with the emphasis on a family-friendly, fun and entertainment afternoon. The parade begins on the Carrick side of the village (within the speed limit zone), at 2.30pm. There will be a performance stage/lorry in the village with great 'craic agus ceol'.
Entertainment will be provided by The Crossan School of Irish Dance, local Scór competition participants, as well as local music group 'Wallop the Spot'.
The floats already registered for the parade include various clubs and organisations from around the village as well as participants from local businesses.
Of course St Patrick himself will be making a personal appearance and is extending an open invitation to anyone else who would like to take part in the parade itself to get in touch... even at this late stage!
Parade participants will begin gathering and lining up at 2pm.
The smaller floats will meet at Holly Park and the larger floats at Dessie Foley's. Please contact 089 6051704 for the final details. Come along... bígí linn. Tá súil againn go mbainfidh gach duine taitneamh as an lá.
