Kayak for Cancer 2023 is a River Shannon source-to-sea kayaking expedition being undertaken by Gavin Sheehan and Maccullin Skelly.
Their goal is to raise at least €20,000 for the Irish Cancer Society.
Like most if not all families, Gavin and Mac's families have both been affected by cancer in recent years and it's for this reason they chose the Irish Cancer Society as their fundraising beneficiary.
With literally just a few days until the start of the epic journey, Gavin and Mac are almost 50% of the way to their fundraising goal, and are trying to spread the word as much as possible in the lead-up to and during their expedition.
The trip will begin on April 2, 2023 at the Shannon Pot, Co Cavan, and the intrepid pair plan to finish at Kilrush, Co. Clare, paddling a total distance of more than 320 km in seven days.
