Carrick Icebreakers will host a Christmas Day swim
A group of hardy souls are planning to take a Christmas dip in the Shannon on Christmas Day, in aid of a good cause.
Carrick Icebreakers have their Christmas Day Swim at 1.30pm at Emerald Star Slipway.
All proceeds go to the Irish Guidedogs for the Blind.
The organisers welcome everyone.
They say even if Christmas is tough for you this year, come down for a laugh and a bit of craic guaranteed.
Those planning to take part are advised to please wear old shoes and bring plenty of dry clothes.
