The Department of Health has announced 448 new cases of Covid-19 while the number of people in ICU is unchanged at 14.
As of 8am this morning, 42 people were being treated for Covid-19 in hospitals.
It is the lowest number of patients to be hospitalised for the virus over the past week. There were six new hospital admissions in the past 24 hours.
The Department of Health said that daily case numbers may change due to future data review, validation and update.
The latest figures come as the Taoiseach Micheál Martin said the next wave of Covid-19 infection brought by the Delta variant will be different to previous waves.
