(Mary) Josephine Boylan (née Creegan) passed away on Friday
Tributes have poured in following the sad passing of Mary (Josephine) Boylan (née Creegan), late of Knocknashee, Boyle, Roscommon, F52 X289 an Cloone, Leitrim.
Joesphine died peacefully in the care and comfort of her devoted family at home on Friday August 2, 2024, and is predeceased by her much loved father and mother Michael and Annie Creegan, her brother Seamus and sister Anna Margaret.
Josephine is survived by her bereaved family: husband John; children, children-in-law and grandchildren Anne, Rob, Adam, Úna and Gabrielle; Christopher and Almudena; Geraldine, and Carmel. Also much loved brother Michael Vincent, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbours and friends.
Heartfelt condolences have been left on RIP.ie, by those who knew and fondly remembered Josephine, with one mourner writing,
"It was with great sadness that I learned of the death of my faith friend Josephine. I extend my deepest sympathy to John and all her family.
"It was her great joy to share her deep faith with the children in our parish schools in Eucharistic Adoration as volunteer with the Apostalate of Children of the Eucharist. She was the salt of the earth and will be sadly missed."
Another wrote,
"Sincere sympathy to John & Family, and the extended Boylan & Creegan Families on the occasion of Josephine’s death - May She Rest In Peace. She was a lovely lady."
While another wrote,
"Sincerest condolences to John and all the family on the loss of your beloved Josephine. She was a wonderful lady full of kindness and gentleness. May she enjoy eternal rest with the angels."
Funeral Arrangements
Josephine's funeral will arrive at Saint Joseph’s Parish Church, Boyle, today at 11am for Mass of the Resurrection, followed by interment in Assylinn (new) Cemetery.
