Eileen McFadden of Rocky Valley, Kilmacanogue, Bray, Co. Wicklow formerly Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim passed away on Tuesday, December 10.
Eileen was a core part of the Mirth Roadshow, Biddie Daniels Roadshow and McFaddens Roadshow and is remembered by all who knew her for her talents which included playing guitar and singing as well as her kindness.

One person wrote: "Back in the day the McFaddens were among the top entertainers in Ireland, going into the small, isolated rural areas as well as the cities and larger towns with their variety shows. Eileen’s talent playing the guitar and singing country songs, was admired as well as her good looks."
Another said: "What a beautiful lady your Mam was. I am thinking of you at this time and may Mrs McFadden rest in peace."
A friend wrote: "A great friend for many years. Rest in peace Eileen."
Another said: "Have lovely memories of Eileen. A lovely lady."
As her heartbroken family put it, "Eileen was called for the last time and the curtain came to a close on Tuesday morning December 10th 2024 at St.Vincent’s Hospital for a well known and talented lady."
Devoted mother of the late Sylvia, daughter of the late Ray and Sylvia (Mirth) Children and sister of the late Sonnie, Sheila and Gregory. Remembered with love by her husband Harry McFadden for 71 years, daughter Thelma, grandchildren Chloë and Lewis, son-in-law Pat, sister, Jean and Milda, nieces, nephews, extended family and her many friends who were part of her amazing life of over 92 years.
Funeral Mass on Friday morning to celebrate Eileen’s life at 10am December 13 in Holy Rosary Church, Greystones after which Eileen will be laid to rest in the family grave at Redford Cemetery, Greystones.
