Leitrim Development Company, where Linda had worked since 2006, said it was "deeply saddened by the passing of our dear colleague and friend".
A social media post outlined: "Linda was a dedicated and professional coordinator of our ETB Horticulture course at our community garden in Drumshanbo, known for her kindness, calm presence, and unwavering commitment to all those she worked with, in particular the many course participants she assisted over the years, many of whom found renewed confidence and purpose under her guidance.
"Her dedication, professionalism, and kindness will leave a lasting impact on all that had the privilege of working with her. Her quiet strength, unwavering compassion, and warm spirit enriched the lives of the course participants, her colleagues and the wider community alike.
"Linda had a gift for helping others grow, both literally and personally, and her work will leave a lasting impact that words can scarcely capture," the post said.
Drumshanbo Tidy Towns said it was with great sadness the group had heard about the passing of Linda Logan.
They noted that she was a longtime instructor/ horticulture expert and programme coordinator at the Lough Allen Horticulture School through the Leitrim Development Company.
“Last year she was the guest speaker at our Heritage Week celebration. She spoke about the beauty of the land and the shoreline, and all the birds and flowers and insects that live here and thrived because they live in harmony with each other,” the Tidy Towns group posted on social media.
“She asked us to take better care of the land and to be more attentive to all the living beings with whom we share this world. We would go to her often for gardening advice and she always had time to take her class out to whatever project was on the Tidy Town go.
“She gave us great ideas and sound advice. On that day last year, August 17th at the newly painted shepherd's hut on the Sli na Crannog walk, Linda was in attendance with her lovely daughter and beautiful granddaughter. Linda had an eternal youth about her. One of those ladies who looked anywhere from from 25 to 42. She will always be remembered and forever missed,” the post added.
Tributes have been paid to her from Leitrim and beyond with one sympathizer saying she was “a beautiful person taken from you all too soon”.
Others described her as a “beautiful person” while another tribute read: “Linda was a lovely vibrant generous kind caring and friendly lady. She will be sadly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her”.
