Leitrim deaths

The following deaths have taken place in Leitrim and surrounding areas:

Shane McGovern, Belturbet, Co Cavan

Shane McGovern, Montreal, Canada and formerly The Lawn, Belturbet, Co. Cavan peacefully in Montreal surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents Sean and Lucy McGovern. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Yolanda, his children and grandchildren. He is predeceased by his siblings Padraig, Veronica, Lucy and Aine and is deeply mourned by his sister Ita (Maynooth) and his relatives and friends in Ireland. Shane loved Belturbet with all his heart even though he left in the 1940s.

Patrick Conlon Ballinameen, Boyle, Co Roscommon

Harrow, Middlesex, England and formerly of Ballinameen, Boyle, Co. Roscommon. Died peacefully surrounded by loving family. Patrick will be sadly missed by his sons Kevin, Martin and Patrick, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, grandniece, grandnephews, relatives and friends. Remains will arrive at St. Attracta's Church, Ballinameen on Saturday (23rd June) for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in Tulsk Cemetery.

William McCabe, Drumheckna, Ballinagh, Co. Cavan and late of Cavan Town

William McCabe, Drumheckna, Ballinagh, Co. Cavan and late of Cavan Town. Died Saturday June 15th 2018. Peacefully at Cavan General Hospital. Requiem Mass in Cathedral of SS Patrick and Felim, Cavan on Wednesday at 11am, with interment afterwards in Cullies Cemetery.

Craig McDermott, Ballagh, Newtownforbes, Co. Longford

The death has occurred of Craig McDermott, Ballagh, Newtownforbes, Co. Longford, 16th June 2018, following an accident. Much beloved son of Maureen and the late Paddy-Joe and loving brother of Shelley. Deeply regretted by his loving family, uncles, aunts, cousins, relatives, friends and extended family. Funeral Mass today, Thursday in St. Mary’s Church, Newtownforbes, at 12 noon, followed by burial in Ballymacormack Cemetery, Longford.
